Fauxlio is a game where you try to tell a book excerpt from a passage written by AI.
How to play
Read the two passages and choose the one you think comes from a book. After you answer, you can see the author, the AI model and the description it was given. The daily game has five rounds. You can also create a challenge to share with friends, or keep playing in infinite mode.
Where the book excerpts come from
We choose excerpts from books in the public domain, in English and French. Each excerpt is shown in its original language.
How we generate the AI passages
We first describe each book excerpt: what happens, where and when it takes place, how it is narrated and how long it is. We then ask different AI models to write a passage from that description, without showing them the original text. After voting, you can use the arrow beside the AI passage to read the description it received.
