Your progress

You can play without creating an account, and we do not use a player identifier to link your games on our servers. Game details are saved in your browser for up to one year. Your journal keeps a local summary of completed daily dates, scores and whether they were finished on their date or in the archives, until you clear your browser’s data for this site. These summaries calculate your statistics, streaks and achievements and are not sent to the server. They do not sync across devices and disappear if you clear site data. Your preferences stay until you clear them.

Shared challenge links and their saved passages are available for one year after the link is created.

Votes, reports and feedback

A random reference groups the rounds of a single game to calculate the daily score distribution. A new reference is issued for each new game and does not track a player across games.

We store your votes and round details to run the game and calculate its statistics. We delete detailed votes after one year, but retain aggregate statistics. We use your reports to investigate problems and delete them one year after they are closed. We sometimes ask for your feedback at the end of a game; we use it to improve Fauxlio and delete it one year after reading it. Reports and feedback that have not been reviewed are deleted after one year. Please do not include personal information in reports or feedback.

Hosting and analytics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection information, including IP addresses. Some processing may take place outside the European Union. You can read about Cloudflare’s safeguards. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits and site performance without cookies or a persistent player identifier.

Your rights

You can write to contact@fauxlio.app to exercise applicable rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your competent supervisory authority.
